Settings

Settings are saved to your account and follow you to any computer.

These settings do not apply during an assessment. An assessment plays no sounds and does not say whether an answer is correct.

Sound effects

A short sound when you answer a ticket in practice, earn a badge, beat your best time, level up, or finish a shift.

Clock sounds

Only on Agent and Veteran difficulty. Rookie has no clock. The clock counts against the ticket's target time and never ends a ticket.

If Sound effects is Off, the clock is silent too.

Narrator commentary

The narrator uses its own voice, not your screen reader's. Practice only.

Narrator voice

Choose a voice that is different from your screen reader's. To add more, open Windows Settings, then Time and language, then Speech, then Add voices.

Plays during a shift, and gets quieter when the page speaks.

Your assistive technology

Command quiz questions ask about your own tool. On a screen reader the ticking clock is left off the page. Use “Read elapsed time” instead. Full reference on the Keyboard commands page.

Game announcements

These go to your screen reader, not the narrator voice. Chatty descriptions need the narrator switched on.
